Polyquaternium-10 are cationic water-soluble conditioners, mild and highly compatible with a wide range of anionic, amphoteric,nonionic and cationic systems. Used primarily in hair care applications, Polyquaternium-10 deliver light to strong conditioning to hair with a variety of grades, viscosities and cationic degree of substitution. The unique property of Polyquaternium-10 is their ability to repair damaged protein substrates. Hair that has been permed or bleached can be greatly enhanced with just a single application of a shampoo containing Polyquaternium-10.

It is especially useful in surfactant based systems such as shampoo and shower gel and is perfect for use in spray on, leave in hair conditioners. Polyquaternium-10 is a very good detangler and provides slip for easier wet-combing. In addition it will add softness and shine to dry hair. Often added at the oil phase of a cosmetic formulation.
