Polyquaternium-10 is a natural surfactant-compatible conditioner used in a broad range of personal care products. Polyquaternium-10 are cationic water-soluble conditioners, mild and highly compatible with a wide range of anionic, amphoteric,nonionic and cationic systems. Used primarily in hair care applications, Polyquaternium-10 deliver light to strong conditioning to hair with a variety of grades, viscosities and cationic degree of substitution. It is especially useful in surfactant based systems such as shampoo and shower gel and is perfect for use in spray on, leave in hair conditioners. Polyquaternium-10 is a very good detangler and provides slip for easier wet-combing. In addition it will add softness and shine to dry hair. Often added at the oil phase of a cosmetic formulation.
