Hydrolyzed Keratin can interact with skin keratin. Natural keratin can smooth, firm and moisturize the skin, especially the skin stratum corneum. Disulfide bonds can be opened by enzymatic hydrolysis. *Anti-oxidant effect
Hydrolyzed Keratin is a natural anti-oxidant. Oxidative stress is considered to be the main cause of skin aging. Keratin has been shown to promote anti-oxidant activity in the body, enhance skin defense, increase the production of peroxide dismutase(SOD) and promote glutathione production. These two enzymes are important part of the body cell antagonism to oxidative stress.
